Making her debut appearance leading the Dolces was Assistant Director Andrea Harmon. Special guest was Lindsay Hemphill playing the flute in accompaniment to a moving tribute by the Chorus to her mother Linda Hemphill. The concert highlighted ACC’s growth and progress with its new Executive Director Anika Tené and Chorus Manager Julie Thompson leading the way.
Enjoy the exhilarating energy of the Bel Cantos as they sing Exultate Deo!
The ACC mourns the loss of accompanist Linda Hemphill after a courageous fight with cancer. Linda joined the ACC in September, 2018, working with the Bel Canto and Troubadour tiers. For over 25 years, Linda served as the Director of Music/Organist at Bethany Lutheran Church in Alexandria, where she led two handbell choirs and two singing choirs. Linda often performed with her daughter Lindsay, a professional flutist, at festive occasions. The ACC will miss Linda’s outstanding professionalism and kindness, and will perform a piece in her honor at the Winter Concert to be held on December 11, 2022 at 4 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington.
